I worked at Schneider full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I'm home every night which is a plus. Management will treat you with absolute respect as long as you treat them the same. Good trucks well maintained equipment. Fun and easy job to do. Love going to work.

    Cons

Pay raises and advancement is the question. No overtime for local positions. Long Hours little pay.

    Advice to Management

Give your Drivers raises and maybe the company won't have such a high turnover rate. Promise the numbers you display online for expected pay.

    Pros

Hires rookies, time off is mostly granted. Lots of miles if you want it.

    Cons

Low pay, office/dispatch seems to change a lot. Tons of overweight loads.

    Advice to Management

Cut down the number of drivers per dispatcher ratio. Meaning hire more dispatchers.

I worked at Schneider full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Had the opportunity to work with a lot of great people. I believe they attract some of the best talent in the industry. Many opportunities in Green Bay and the field.

    Cons

The culture started to change and people at the top started to care more about the bottom line than the people. Revenue was more important than safety.

    Advice to Management

It still takes people to run and lead the business. Keep what Don felt was important. Going public is not the SNI I knew.
