I have been working at School District of Philadelphia full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The kids are adorable. The jobs is hard and the hours are great. You have off when the kids have off and your summers too.

    Cons

The pay isn't that great. Also, you get sick time, but penalized for using them. Like seriously, things happen with yours and your kids don't penalize your school based staff for using time.

    Advice to Management

Work with your staff and teachers. Don't be a paper pusher that you forget what it is like to be in the classroom or too busy to actually support your staff with issues with studenta and staff.

    Pros

My particular office had a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere, while still maintaining professionalism.

    Cons

After the school day is over, there is not much work to do - gets to be somewhat monotonous. Also somewhat disorganized.

    Advice to Management

Continue pushing to become more organized.
