    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Schreiber Foods full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Competitive salaries, benefits you typically find at large companies, flexible work hours (for salaried partners).

    Cons

The politics! Omg!!! I’ve worked for other large companies and have never seen anything quite like this. It is totally like a high school popularity game. They like to tout the ‘Schreiber nice’ mentality, but that is really an excuse for leaders to act cowardly in providing clear, actionable feedback. A lot is done based on perceptions, not necessarily reality which is great for people good at pretending to be busy/overworked or know what you’re doing.... doesn’t matter if it’s real. It is a very passive-aggressive environment! A watch out to other people reading reviews of this company is if the review sounds too good to be true, it probably is. It was probably written by the HR department as they frequently do that to keep the rating up and offset the negative feedback. This is a fact as it was talked about openly and directly by HR in a meeting. Maybe all companies do that, but this one does for sure.

I have been working at Schreiber Foods full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Retirement and insurance plans and benefits, discount on cheese, friendly employees, nice building

    Cons

Terrible HR, boys club attitude in supply chain department, lack of ability to move up the latter, you feel like you are working to give more money to the higher ups, long hours and no work/life balance, too many meetings

I have been working at Schreiber Foods full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good retirement benefits if you work there for a long time Location is good if you are in Green Bay Fox Valley area New home office building is nice, modern, clean

    Cons

The politics are incredible and limit the company's ability to leverage the talent of the people who work there You have to worry more about CYA and perception than any company I have worked for. People are petty and nit-pick beyond what is necessary I have presented thoughts, solutions and ideas to get responses that I should not be doing so Recent job cuts do not make sense - they cut jobs of people who are making a positive impact to the company and left jobs that are not moving the business forward and in fact are reducing morale and in turn moving the company backwards Lack of transparency exists in all levels of leadership The type of pressure without support that is placed on leaders encourages passive aggressive feedback and leadership which is not good for morale Lack of clear expectations. I cannot get a clear answer, so when I do something I think was instructed, I get told to do the opposite. Then I do the opposite and I am told that is wrong too. Micro managing snd lack of support Leader is not educated on my daily processes, so they cannot support when issues arise. No one else provided as backup support Unable to prioritize tasks based on better business because of unclear expectations I work more hours, get paid less and have more stress and less opportunity for advancement than my last job
