I worked at SciMed full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good compensation, nice location, free breakfast weekly.

    Cons

Most of the teams were unpleasant to work with--not particularly kind or professional. Also, working in a editorial capacity, I found myself waiting for work to be completed (always at the last minute).

    Advice to Management

Consider better work/life balance for employees. This could be a better company if there wasn't so much turnover.

    Pros

There are many opportunities to explore many areas. You get to be responsible for things you couldn't have in larger companies.

    Cons

The salary was not very competitive. You are asked why you want to take leave. Management micromanages. Little training opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Consider better ways of managing besides micro-managing.
