I have been working at Science Recruitment Group as an intern
Only way to work for GSK on a placement year. Simplistic HR system (fieldglass) which only needs to be approved by a manager.
The service from the provider is awful, you have to go through SRG after getting approval from you manager to go on holiday which they barely approve until you send multiple emails after you get back from the holiday. Only statutory sick pay offered when ill which is no pay for the first 3 days. Your bonus is worked out excluding the first 12 weeks you work there so on placement knocks about 60% off of your bonus which will only be 2 days work in the first place. They lose interest in you after the first 3 months as they only have to cover that to get commission from you being employed, from then on you have to fight for any communication back from them. When trying to claim compassionate leave they will make it as hard as ossible so that they don't have to pay out, you need to get an email confirming that you manager want you to get PAID leave.
Advice to Management
Don't use SRG it may be less work for the managers however when your employer is in need they will struggle to get a human response with any deal of compassion.
