I worked at Scion Dental full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working for Scion for a client project was great. Our team culture was much different than those who worked for the company itself. I enjoyed the manga Kent of my project.

    Cons

They don't communicate well from upper levels, they have you work roles with promises that you'll get the pay of the role and don't. And they make life changes and lay you off without notice.

    Advice to Management

Communicate better from the higher ups so that thw managers over teams can communicate effectively to the team. Also if you have great evaluations stop making up things to or give hard workers with awesome numbers a raise.

I worked at Scion Dental full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Should have asked me pros a year ago...

    Cons

Management is 2 faced, asking how to help but replying with advice and strategy that is no help at all. Also Mangers can't be used as references BOGUS.

    Advice to Management

    Stop screwing your workers over.

I have been working at Scion Dental full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Love the people I work with.

    Cons

No back-up for breaks, lunches or days off. Recently was told I have to stay at desk for security reasons. Haven't taken breaks because of this.

    Advice to Management

Have to have daily back-up for receptionists to take breaks, lunches and days off. Can't expect person to sit at desk all day.

    Pros

Besides the great dental insurance( I mean comeon it's a dental company for Gods sake) There are none. Trust me. Save yourself the headache.

    Cons

Scion dental overworks and under pays their employees. I literally left with a migraine every single day. The micro managing is horrendous and the environment is draining.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on your employees mental well being than your metrics, clients, and management. You'll get better results that way. That place is like prison.

    Pros

    Casual Dress
    Casual Environment
    Strong work ethics

    Cons

    Overhiring
    Slow to give raises
    No bonuses
    Not great insurance

    Advice to Management

Focus on developing current employees rather than overhiring unnecessarily. This will also give the opportunity to promote more from within and compensate employees appropriately.

I worked at Scion Dental as an intern

    Pros

I thoroughly enjoyed working here. The community and environment were very pleasant. The salary paid well. The dress code is fairly lax. They had fun activities for the employees too such as ice cream fridays and an office olympics. Overall, work was enjoyable.

    Cons

You will spend a fair amount of time in your cubicle. Aside from that I have no other complaints though.

    Pros

Close knit community. Open and Nice people. Pretty good inter-department communication. Will hire inexperienced employees that show potential, with a lower than average salary.

    Cons

Management is extremely focused on limiting costs. Company seems to be leaping from one decision to the next without a clear plan.

    Advice to Management

Clamp down on QA. While lean cost savings is generally good, if your work force is consumed with tasks just to keep the business running, it's hard to expand.
