I worked at Scotiabank as an intern

    Pros

Received a lot of personal attention as the only intern in the group. Got to work on real projects that were delivered to senior level managers.

    Cons

No formal internship program. Some days there was nothing for me to do even after asking for responsibilities.

    Pros

Very chill group. Hours were great -- 7 till 5. Not too much difficult work and very consistent day to day

    Cons

Kind of boring program. Don't really get to push yourself. No formal training of any kind. Also was for the entire summer whereas most programs run only 10 weeks. Pay was weak

    Advice to Management

Create a structured training program for summer hires at the beginning of the summer. This would let the interns hit the ground running.
