    Very professional people very multi culture.

    Cons

    Cost cutting at full speed. hiring in Columbia & Mexico. Too many regulation too much pressure. Job security is very less.

    I have been working at Scotiabank as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Compared to other financial institutions at this position, it is pretty well paid. Time is flexible, no need to get up too early.

    Cons

    jobs are kind of boring. More technical challenges needed instead of repeated analytics. No diners inside. Require password to enter the restroom.

    Advice to Management

    No advice but I am required to reach at least 20 words for this section so what else can I say.

    Pros

    Banking is all that you would expect anywhere else. The hours are nice, people are supportive, and it is relatively easy to move among branches

    Cons

    Difficult to progress to other areas of the bank - once you're in the branch it is tough to move out of it
    Sales focused environment

    Pros

    Scotiabank is a good place to work as it is a customer centric company while good workers are usually properly recognized and rewarded. Their career advancement and compensation systems are fair and easily understood.

    Cons

    The company's workload for most positions are usually too heavy to facilitate proper work/life balance. Because of this negative practice staff are usually burnt out and family life suffers

    Advice to Management

    Be careful not to implementing extremely difficult to achieve goals/targets as this will encourage bad practices. The culture of staff shortage also needs to be address

    I have been working at Scotiabank (Less than a year)

    Pros

    I'm working at a rapid lab where we have been operating in the truest agile environment I've experienced to date. You can tell that Scotiabank has put a real emphasis on delivering functional software and has put a significant effort into delivering best in class Customer experiences.

    Cons

    Still need to work with departments that are very institutional. Legal departments are terrible for PR and customer experiences.

    Advice to Management

    Integration with legal teams should be considered.
