    Pros

Great people to work with. Management truly takes cares and appreciateshe their empoyees.

    Cons

Didn't like parking downtown at 5:30 am and having to walk 2 blocks to get to the building in the dark.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Scout Investments full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

People are nice. Laid back culture. Free lunch once a month.

    Cons

    Heavy outflows
Mishandling of investment research staff - high staff turnover before and after layoffs occurred
Ineffective sales approach despite near constant tinkering with sales staff
    No long term vision
Salaries OK (not above, but not below industry avg), bonuses are below industry average, health and retirement benefits are atrocious

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing so that it accelerates the time to YOUR layoff.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Scout Investments full-time

    Pros

Scout Investments has a collegial working environment for the most part
Work/Life balance is good at Scout

    Cons

Scout Investments is not an investment shop
No good products at Scout to work for in KC. The good products at Scout are run outside of KC.
    Incompetent PMs run Scout Investments
CEO and COO at Scout are not investment guys and know nothing about investments
Investment teams are lowest on totem pole at organization, even below compliance
Scout Investments is pretty much run by liars and they will pay you less than what you deserve with regards to bonus and make up some lame excuse as to why
Would routinely be asked by higher ups at Scout what religion I was and when I notified HR, nothing was done about it

    Advice to Management

Stop lying to employees. Have a spine.
