Pros
You can say you’re working but you’re really watching the website in case a job appears.
Cons
You have less than 5 minutes to claim a job. There are so few and they get taken quickly.

Pros
Work when I want Get paid daily I don't have to deal with customers or phones I can work anywhere as long as I have internet and a computer There has been a lot of work lately (Thank you for Scribie) You get a $5 bonus at the end of the month for every 30 files you complete that month
Cons
The pay sucks. You have to do a good 50 transcripts per day just to make $25. Once you are promoted to a Proofreader the pay increases per file but it is next to impossible to remain in that position. They give proofreaders and QCs the better pay when the transcriptionist and reviewers do most of the work and get paid a measley $0.50 per file. Its really not fair. The bonus used to be $10 and the pay for each transcript was $1. Why they lowered it, who knows. Most of the audio files are hard to hear and understand due to heavy accents and audio quality.

Pros
Work from home. Work as much or as little as you want.
Cons
The pay is extremely low compared to the amount of work you put in. When you first get "promoted" to a new position, there will be a lot of files available for you to complete, and they will have a higher pay rate ($20/ah) and American speakers, then shortly there after there aren't many files to choose from and the ones available all have very low rates ($5/ah), thick accents and aren't worth your time or effort. This may just be a coincidence, but it has happened each of the four times I was promoted.

Pros
No pros so to speak.
Cons
Greed of the CEO and management has destroyed this company's reputation. Pay rates slashed in half with silly rejections and cancellations as they please. Extremely arrogant support staff. Advice to any companies looking to avail their transcription service: Just don't. They do not value their transcribers' time and efforts and treat them like dirt.

Pros
There are no pros. Will not recommend.
Cons
These people used to pay $1 for a 6 minute file, then they reduced it to 50 cents and after completion of a file, they reject the file, that has minimal errors, although they have a 1-5 grading system. They have instituted all kinds of scams to avoid paying workers.

Pros
Lots of opportunities for experimenting, growth, and improvement.
Cons
Growing pains like any other startup, but will get better with time.
