I have been working at Scytl

    Pros

If you just need a paycheck, it is better than sitting at home. Very little is expected of you, so you can slide by without doing a lot of work. Hilarious work stories about Management.

    Cons

    No potential to learn anything.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Scytl full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Nothing, the CEO will soon enough bankrupt the company. Good people simply just go away when they see the disaster

    Cons

C-Level all wrong; specially the CEO, lacks good judgement and only hires yes man people. No product; terrible delivery, back office all kids, only those friends of Valles survive

    Advice to Management

Board of Directors; wake up! Its your money

I worked at Scytl full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

HAD....some wonderful people working for the company. Management can't hold on to the good ones....

    Cons

Management has favourites and plays games...they don't care about shareholder value. The focus is very short term. Can't deliver on projects. Disappoints customers, poor at communicating information to clients, white labels most products.

    Advice to Management

More advice to the Board...wake up. Your leadership can't fix it.

    I worked at Scytl full-time

    Pros

Lots of money from investors - no expectations for sales. With the lack of real leadership (the GM is currently CEO of another company), this is the perfect job to show up and look for other jobs.

    Cons

Black hole of misery with the remaining management. The products are not developed, there is a whole lot of promise, no real hope for ever delivering given the limitations in staff and management.

    Advice to Management

Decide whether or not you are going to shutter what used to be a good company or hire the necessary people to make Scytl great again.

I have been working at Scytl full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people and a casual work atmosphere. Extremely interesting work focused around civic engagement and eDemocracy. New operational management structure that has really set things in the right direction (new COO was high level exec for Omniture/Adobe and led high growth start-up). Great office location. Great PTO. Great benefits (if you're single healthcare is free). Gym on site.

    Cons

Turnover. 2015 was a tough year with the shift in organizational direction and some good people were lost. Management doesn't seem to truly understand the effects of their decision on the long-term health of the organization. Benefits not great for family. Running a lean ship right now. Lack of autonomy from corporate headquarters in Barcelona. Little room for movement within the organization.

    Advice to Management

Keep things moving in the right direction through transparency and accountability. Understand that your people are your greatest asset.

I have been working at Scytl for less than a year

    Pros

Great people, laid back atmosphere, interesting work.

    Cons

There is a lot of trial and error going on by management. The upside is that they seem to be learning from their mistakes, and making positive changes. Fingers crossed!

    Advice to Management

    Happy employees = success!

    I worked at Scytl

    Pros

Nice people, opportunity to tackle complex problems with little oversight, despite lack of experience taking on those challenges. OK, 401K match (up to 6% of salary). Decent, not great, medical.

    Cons

Just don't work here. Overworked, Stressed, Under-compensated, No training, No direction, No communication.

I have been working at Scytl full-time

    Pros

The people in the office are very nice, they all trying to do a good job, but upper management from Spain is destroying the company

    Cons

since Scytl took over SOE Software, they fired all the personnel with experience and shipped all development jobs out of the Country, the only people left in the office are doing maintenance work or actively looking for another place to go

    Advice to Management

Go back to Spain, you have no idea how to run a business in USA
