I have been working at Scytl full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    * Incredibly nice and good co-workers. * Very interesting business. * Free coffee and fresh fruits (but not enough).

    Cons

    * Management is horrible at all levels. * Overtime due to lack of / bad plannings. * Many heroes: overtime is prized and appreciated. * Complete organization changes every six months. * Lack of transparency. * Lack of professional career. * No benefits.

    Advice to Management

The value of a company is the people. Sadly, many talented people are leaving the company due to different reasons, but an important one is the happiness. Happy employees means more productivity, among other things. Until management realizes and learns how to manage this fact, you will be destroying what could be a good company to transform it into a mediocre one.

I worked at Scytl for less than a year

    Pros

Nice idea of a startup. Innovating democracy sounds cool. You can get to travel to another Scytls offices around the world.

    Cons

Poor management. They couldn't afford to mantain the peruvian offices. The PM never get to talk to their team. The team used to work without knowing the gantt. It was awful.

I have been working at Scytl full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fesh fruit in the morning ( if you are fast enough ) Good, but empty office

    Cons

Be prepared to work insane extra hours like mad if you enter as developer, to be treated like a piece of meat. People are just "resources" and they will exploit them until they burnout and go elsewhere. Low payment, no salary raises. Lack of management, lack of roadmap and LACK OF PEOPLE. There is no people to fulfill all the project As title says, stay as far as possible from this company

    Advice to Management

Get into a role that fits you and that motivates you. Most managers are managers because of the extra money they get but they are RUDE , won't take care of its employees, and won't plan the projects correctly.

    I worked at Scytl

    Pros

fresh, but not for all, fruit in the morning.

    Cons

It is not worth to add a cent of your life into this company, it was worth time ago when it was well represented, engineers working @Scytl were well-known and other companies were willing to recruit some technical guys from there. They wanted nine women to gave birth a baby in one month in all, old and new, projects, which ended up as: * LOT OF overtime * fishy code * LOT OF weekends * Extra pressure to deliver...

I have been working at Scytl full-time for less than a year

    Pros

On the surface, Scytl looks amazing. It is a software firm attempting to transform a meaningful industry. It has a cool, international HQ in a great city. It offers good pay and stock compensation. Many of the employees are motivated, intelligent and qualified--no surprise given the number of boxes the company seems to check.

    Cons

Unfortunately, value-destroying companies tend to be bad employers, and Scytl is no exception. The company had to lay off nearly half its work force last year after it grew too quickly in the wake of a giant VC injection and a number of inexcusable blunders. That layoff intensified a nervous atmosphere where siloed departments, botched projects, and talent attrition are the norm. In the presence of enormous turnover...

A fast growing comany in which you will always be able to touch things ouside your field. Security focused. Everybody there must know the basics of security.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Go down stairs and check how people work and how communications among departments can be improved.

I have been working at Scytl

    Pros

Freedom to choose the technologies. In some departments the people are very professional. You can learn a lot in Scytl, because they are using the newest technologies. Every day they bring fresh fruits. The employees get 200 euros per and 2 free days which they can spend for training. In some departments people work overtime.

    Cons

Constant changes, you just start working with something and after a couple of weeks they say that it is going to be changed. A big fight between the big bosses, there is a clash between the different departments. No team buildings, no extra social security

    Advice to Management

    Stop fighting, start working together

I worked at Scytl for more than a year

    Pros

Nice colleagues, flexible hours, friendly environment.

    Cons

No strategy, changes after changes after changes, today you can see many persons joining and the day after even more are fired. Horrible pressure during the projects deliveries, people tired of working months in a row for many hours daily, weekends and bank holidays without extra compensation. The employees aren't valued at all and many are leaving the company.

    Advice to Management

Value your employees, you are nothing without them. Stop managing the company Spanish style..
