I worked at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fun and engaging environment to work in. If you are just starting of in the work field SeaWorld is great. It allows you to be comfortable talking to people and working in a team.

    Cons

Low pay. I was promoted assistant supervisor and the amount of work that was given to me it was not worth the pay. People tend to call out alot, therefore this made supervisors giving the work of 3 assistant supervisors to one person, especially in the summer.

    Advice to Management

More recognition to employees Especially for work overload. Pay is not enough therefore I believe recognition is all the upper management can give.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great place to work. Wonderful people.

    Cons

Corporate shortsightedness in cost cutting affects those at the park level.
No communication to former employees as to the reasons behind their termination.
Unrealistic human expectations from the front line work force.
Low pay standards due to incorporation of benefits that have no value to the employee.

    Advice to Management

Get back to the original owner's mantra that "Making friends is our business," instead of looking at a bottom line and creating an environment of fear amongst long-tenured employees that their jobs are volatile and can evaporate in a heartbeat.
