I have been working at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits and vacation time. FT employees as of 2017 receive 2 weeks vacation and 3 weeks of optional holidays. Park passes to SeaWorld and Universal (employee only). Smaller company so you have the opportunity to get to know your leaders depending on the department. The company also hosts quarterly Ambassador Communications Meetings sharing info about the company and also have great prizes. The company also has a lot of employee events that are really fun. It is also an exciting time to be at SeaWorld as there is a lot of new attractions and events coming in the future.

    Cons

Sometimes a negative atmosphere as some of the teams are small, so one negative person affects the whole team. My department tends to have a lack of communication as well. In leadership, there is a lack of on-the-job training. Compensation for the responsibilities is a bit low. People are often worrying about layoffs as well. People also seem to get burned out quickly.

Good people to work with, freedom to make independent decisions.

    Cons

Short term fill in position while permanent employee on medical leave. Commute distance vs cost of commute resulted in low overall net income.

I have been working at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Culinary department receives comp lunches, full time benefits are great, company works with most availabilities, and always a chance to grow with seasonal managerial opportunities.

    Cons

Centralized Bakery does Not have enough equipment and space to comfortably keep up with park prep. Need assistant supervisors to help delegate tasks and help keep work stations operating efficiently.

    Advice to Management

Develop positive interpersonal relationships with all team members to allow effective understanding and communications between team members.

I worked at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Somewhat decent coworkers. Free tickets & the agreement w/BG,AI,USOIOA to get in free

    Cons

Safety & competent employees are a HUGE issue as well as pay. Pay is complete dirt! When it comes to paying attention to ride safety, coworkers are too busy screwing off, talking about their weekend or personal life/problems or how they got drunk & are arriving to wk with a hangover(this is almost a habitual thing). BG should seriously breathalyzer their employee before operating a ride or to assure guest safety is in the right hands. On top of that company holds you back from advancing & from trying to get full-time. Don't recommend this place as a job at all much less a forever job. Waste of time!

    Advice to Management

Pay more, whip your employees & management into shape, breathalyzer employees before they run a ride each shift, give better opportunities at advancement & getting full-time. Offer better benefits or just benefits period or the door will keep revolving & morale will continue to be low. Its bad when your employees see BGT as the "Hellmouth of Florida!"
