I have been working at Seagate Technology full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Look good on your resume, that's about it.

    Cons

Word of advice to Finance/Accounting folks looking to join. Stay Away!
Culture is one of the worse, people stuck doing things the old way and not willing to adapt to change. Low compensation compared to competitors, mgmt often hold back focal increases to meet budgets and thus resulting in huge turnovers.
No career path for younger generation wanting to grow and move up. HR is a joke and don't even intervene with the politics that go on in Finance.

I worked at Seagate Technology full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice benefits, gym, cafeteria, the usual stuff to keep you slaving in the golden handcuffs while your skills deteriorate.

    Cons

No growth, leadership, accountability, or innovation. This is reflected in the quality of their sh*tgate hard drives. Years ago I worked in datacenter and seagate was garbage, and still is.

Baby boomers in middle management do not care about innovation only kick the can to wait for their retirement while they silo data in their ancient spreadsheets because that's all they know, and do not want to relinquish power.

Stock price is a reflection of leadership.

Seagate is just a multinational piece of garbage that buys out the competition, but has no leadership to actually implement the intellectual property they acquired.

Probably too busy getting drunk at the O'pub, and buying blinds for their $500k house in Broomfield.

    Advice to Management

    Fire yourself.
