Seagate is a good company to work for as is evidenced by the longevity of the workforce. Good salaries and fair benefits. There are many, many talented engineers in the company. Diversified workforce.
Cons
Too many management layers which results in difficult decision making. Communication is poor at all layers. Poor work / life balance and often too many projects and not enough resource. Workforce reductions are often and affect overall morale and productivity.

Decent salary. There is nothing more to offer other than that. Technology leader (perhaps passe) and good to have that seagate experience in resume.
Cons
We are nothing more than employee IDs. Leadership is myopic, there is no work-life balance and there is no transparency at work and you wonder how a company like this can thrive.

# Doesn't provide much facilities for employees # Salary is not good compared to other product based companies like Nvidia, AMD, Intel # If you are working on their new Object Store product, Seagate is like a startup without startup salary. Extremely heavy workload with few people to work on. # Seagate doesn't spend much on employees so don't expect merchandise, parties, free food and bonuses. # If you are working on their new Object Store product there is no work life balance for you.
