I worked at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Manage your own project. Given alot of responsibility out of the gate. Great environment. Brand new office. Open seating. Sit where ever you want.

    Cons

Could have provided more guidence and training during the first 2 weeks. I like to work long hours and didn't like that almost everyone is out the door by 5pm.

I have been working at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Good pay.
    Good benefits.
    Lots of overtime.
    A relatively safe working environment.
A decent Corporation overall, a good place to retire from.

    Cons

Extremely strict with countless rules and regulations.
Very quick to discipline employees and no hesitation or reservations about termination for employees.

    Advice to Management

"The client does not come first. The customer does not come first. The employees come first. The employees are the Corporation's number one priority.
Take care of your employees, and your employees will take care of the customers."

I worked at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Pay and benefits are generally good. Have career development ladders defined for growth.

    Cons

Very inconsistent in defining strategy and expectations to employees. Talk about career development, but do little to actually facilitate it. Very reactionary in terms of budgets and spending. Like many companies, have outsourced many functions and continue to do so. Employees often under pressure to take on additional workload without commensurate rewards resulting in low morale

    Advice to Management

Develop and stick to a strategy, communicate it well to employees, follow through on career development promises.

    Pros

    competitive salary and benefits.

    Cons

CEO is taking the company in a non-favorable direction. Have begun to micro-manage staff, creating an unhappy place to work. Great deal of turn over currently.

I have been working at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great pay and benefits. Some of the best out there. Managers work with you when you need time off for almost anything. Plenty of hours if you want to work and decent room for upward mobility.

    Cons

It can be difficult to move up if you're an average worker. Have to be among the best in order to move up before retirement. Not a place to work if you aren't motivated and somewhat intelligent.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing.

I worked at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There were some new folks there that were optimistic, their existence is the only pro.

    Cons

Everything. The management team that I was in was so backwards and archaic in their thought process. The equipment was as old as anything I have ever seen, some wiring still had cloth insulation. If you touched it, it disintegrated, but they still wouldn't replace it... just don't touch it.
Salary was terrible, I was confused by that when I took the job. As I joined, I took a risk accepting a lateral salary move with the increase that the potential bonus being the growth. I never saw a bonus, the business could have been great but instead the entire existence was hopeless. They fired a guy that was my counterpart in another part of the business. I was wishing they were firing me instead. It was that bad.

    Advice to Management

    Replace yourselves.
