    Pros

Collaboration is highly encouraged. The company has great company values and participates in activities to live those values. Overall, the people at Sealed Air are the greatest assets.

    Cons

The company is going through a transformation. They have a plan to have better processes in place, but there are growing pains that go with these type of changes.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing!

I worked at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I was able to take on MANY responsibilities and learn from some of the most seasoned professionals that seemed to genuinely care. It was a great company that both my parents worked for when it was Cryovac.

    Cons

It is in the end a company and at the end there is a bottomline and you are a number that can easily be replaced with cheaper, outsourced labor.

I worked at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Putting out fires and lots of work to do (if you like staying busy). Overall, experience was evolving and I carved my own path.

    Cons

Outsourcing, lean staffing and it affects the ones still in the retained organization. False certification holders get praise. Lack of good ethics and integrity where one would think it is embedded.

I have been working at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Pretty campus with free gym usage.

    Cons

Pay is in the bottom tier of average.
Health benefits are very poor. 2019 saw a change in providers, which amounted to far worse coverage at nearly the same employee cost.
Stuffy atmosphere with a noisy, distracting, and unwelcoming open office environment. Huddle and focus rooms are in short supply, as most huddles have become personal offices for those highest on the food chain.
There used to be a high value placed on each individual employee bringing their own special way of interacting and working to the company, but after the move to Charlotte, the attitude has become significantly more homogenized.
Constant hiring freeze has stymied professional growth among employees, and many feel stuck in their current positions.

    Advice to Management

Pay employees what they are worth, and provide better health benefits.
Lose the open office plan. Forbes debunked its supposed benefits back in the 70's, and it's time to allow your employees to work unfettered by constant distraction.
Allow employees to progress in their careers rather than lumping managerial responsibilities on their shoulders with no change in title or pay.

I worked at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The people are generally good to work with, benefits are very competitive and there is a state of the art corporate headquarters. Career opportunities are available and the structure for development and merit rewards exists, although can be managed inconsistently and, at times, unfairly.

    Cons

Leadership goals and priorities change far too often and the ship rocks in the ocean. Culture is promoted as inclusive and collaborative but leadership is too interested in creating and external appearance than they are building and maintaining a culture they market but don't really support. In the spirit of "knowledge sharing/growth/account share strategy" the company has somewhat diluted it's specialists and specialty sales organization and is often no more effective, skilled or knowledgeable than their distribution channel.

    Advice to Management

Be what you say you are and remain committed to it. Too many (3) major reorganizations in 5 years with another coming in 2019. Acknowledge that some things take time and if results aren't 100% in one year a shake up and throwing the baby out with the bath water isn't the only solution.
