I have been working at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This company is an excellent company. I work for their Diversey Care division and they have been nothing but good to me!

    Cons

All opportunities to grow within the company are not necessarily visible. Would benefit from events / sessions that describe different employee roles and career paths.

    Advice to Management

Continue to work on development towards employee career paths. Good job now, but I think this is a constant area of improvement for any company.

I have been working at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of potential. Great products. Excellent people who have worked in the trenches for years.

    Cons

Employees being over worked and under appreciated. Make goals or you lose your job.

    Advice to Management

Be realistic on goals and expectations. Just because you "say" something doesn't mean it is possible or realistic. You have cut beyond "lean" - now anorexic and you expect those left to do the work of all those heads you cut. They were good employees.

I have been working at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Entry salary aligned to national average. Decent bonus potential. Ability to work from home (will be dependent on managerial structure).

    Cons

Company undergoing major transition with relocation to Charlotte and implementing culture change. Will likely be a rocky few years of transition. Senior management makes decisions that leave you scratching your head, makes you wonder if there really is a top level strategy. Why begin relocating Diversey employees to Charlotte, and then in the middle of their relocation announce that you are selling Diversey? Decisions by management with lack of transparency has been stressful on individuals and families.

I worked at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The have an expensive cafeteria in the office. People are nice and friendly but they just complain a lot. The sales team is great.

    Cons

Management doesn't have a clue, lack of innovation, work life balance is unfair. You never get the bonus they say you get because they only pay out 50-70% because they set unrealistic company goals.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in your people

I worked at Sealed Air Corporation (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Getting rid of all my Sealed Air stock they way senior management got rid of the company's foundation personnel.

    Cons

Great, fantastic company until three senior officers destroyed morale. No one has their own desk or office and they choose to ignore that this type of venue is not healthy to the performance and morale of personnel and is totally pathetic, the company is not Google or Microsoft!!

    Advice to Management

Senior management is so arrogant and in such denial, it doesn't matter what another's opinion is. What matters is watching the SEE stock continue to drop, replace the CEO & CFO.

I have been working at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Not sure there are any pros to working at Sealed Air. At least not working in the corporate structure.

    Cons

The aesthetics of the new campus are more important that the safety and comfort of their employees.

Management does not respect employees or the contribution they make to support the company. If you are a salaried employee, it is expected you put in more than a 40 hour work week. I was told 10 - 12 hours is "normal" for the team. No respect for opinions of those that suggest ways to improve processes and increase productivity.

Despite what I was told, there is no room to grow with the company. There are a number of roles open within the company, but they do not consider many internal candidates because management will not release anyone from their existing roles.

Company routinely wants to hire the "cheapest" employee they can versus hiring the "best fit" for the job. This is very evident in the amount of turnover.

This is not the company I thought I was going to work for.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to the number of hours your employees are working. Pay your employees better. Listen to the opinions of those performing the day-to-work.
