I worked at Sealed Air Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Management was good at the factory and corporate level. They had very long term line employees (25+ years). Was union, but went non-union, and all the employees stayed on. Bubblewrap hasn't changed in 50+ years, so that can get monotonous.

    Cons

Downsides might include slow upward growth mobility. Many long term employees and growth isn't skyrocketing, so new positions don't really 'open up' unless someone quits. Rarely were people fired, they were good on working with employees on issues.

    Advice to Management

    None at moment.

I worked at Sealed Air Corporation as a contractor

    Pros

Was handed a headset, mouse and CAD laptop 15 minutes after I received my badge. Sate of the art everything, meeting and huddle rooms are fantastic, glass and very modern, open work spaces and free roam seating. Conducive work environment...if open work spaces are your thing. Very green, onsite chef and barista plenty of "after hours" networking and weekend activities to support local community and promote connecting with co-workers.

    Cons

Open work space leaves you lugging your laptop home daily. "Lockers" are truly the only thing that is specifically "yours". Many younger workers, seems the open work space isn't good for senior engineers or experienced people, normally we like our own desk space and not have it feel like a bank of computers in high school. Very difficult to track anyone down, no word if they are even in work that day, working from home or unreachable such as travel. Frustrating many times.

    Advice to Management

Create some more private work space areas for the senior or experienced aka non-college students. Find a way to let employees tell management or peers where they are or if they are in at work at all or working from home.

I have been working at Sealed Air Corporation as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Relatively interesting material. Gave a lot of potential for self-direction on some projects. Friendly employees

    Cons

Was stuck in the middle of the relocation of HQ to Charlotte NC which meant the Danbury facility was empty and losing staff every day. Tasks given were repetitive and quite boring.
