I worked at Sears full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The Hoffman Estates office is extremely relaxed and friendly - however the constant layoffs make it a very stressful job. Even just a few years ago it was an ideal job in a good company - but now, not so much.

    Cons

Constant layoffs and store closings. It is not a good feeling walking in to work every day not knowing if today will be the day you get fired.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of Lampert and get someone who actually wants to save the company.

Bad Leadership, Fully Volatile Leadership - always changing , hence vision. No Perks,. No Appreciation (this is more of manager)

    Advice to Management

Recognize Talent and reward the employees. Have a Vision and Goal on a higher level drilling down to employee's daily work. Make every employee accountable.

    Pros

Umm??? It's a job... You'll get a paycheck (maybe not for long)!

    Cons

~ No raise in 10 years

~ Declining sales and closing stores
~ No actual discount (earn points through store rewards program)
~ No bonus potential or incentives
    ~ Poor company culture

    Advice to Management

Advice is only valuable when the receiver is willing to listen and consider meaningful change...
