I have been working at Sears Manufacturing full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good work environment and benefits. Engineering is its strong point and best sales tool. Product differentiation between OEM's maintains customer loyalty.

    Cons

Can be a very fast paced engineering environment. Systems in place are unique so it takes a while to understand and be effective. Same as most manufacturing organizations, just takes time.

    Advice to Management

Suggest allowing persons to rotate into other roles for a set time to round out the organizations depth. i.e. Eng into supply management or quality roles. Same as OEM practices.
