    Great support from coworkers and management.

    Cons

    Too much corporate control. Stores need to be allowed to merchandise more independently but follow a corporate standard. Some of management is inexperienced or unqualified.

    I have been working at Sears part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    I worked in the mattress dept at Sears in Lafayette La. for the past 5 years I am still employed but the store is closing. I was paid a base salary plus commission.

    Cons

    I can't think of any downsides I have about working at Sears. This is the 5th store I've worked in and I regret they are closing.

    Advice to Management

    The store 1347 operated 6 months without a manager. Listen to the associates. They are right many times.

    I have been working at Sears full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    You get extra 2 dollars an hour for every credit line you open. They have great hours to choose from. Very organized store. Very nice people

    Cons

    Interview wait time is pretty long so I would suggest coming on time and being prepared with your resume. That is a must

    Advice to Management

    Be yourself and come early to the interview
