I have been working at Sears full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are a lot of changes going on at Sears. The company is in a big transformation phase in which it is consolidating different old systems, phasing them out and building new ones and also using new technologies to solve interesting problems. There are many technologies and languages used here. Java and the typical J2EE ecosystem, Scala, Play, Ruby, Rails, Groovy, Grails, R, Hadoop, Spark, Storm, HBase, Cassandra, Mongodb, Akka, Hazelcast, Drupal, PHP, Python etc etc. The management is open to change and constantly innovates and drives change in the organization

    Cons

Earlier, things were a little chaotic at the indian office. The processes were not that good, projects were chaotically managed. But things have changed in the last 2 years or so.

    Advice to Management

You need to sack some guys.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Sears full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I would say there are no PROS. I joined in Pune, India and working onsite now at Illinois.
Since i have worked on both corners of the organization onsite and offshore , I can firmly say that the management is not good at all.

Do not fall the salary they offer at Pune, India. I did the same mistake and i am now not able to switch my Job.

    Cons

    - Pune Management is hopeless
    - People working at Reliance as store Managers are IT directors at Sears Pune.
    - HR Policies are no good. Except the money but other than that you will suffer the politics, discrimination if you are not from Maharashtra.
-Hiring process is not good, they hire all people as Tech Leads and Technologists, hence no growth for like next 10yrs. Growth policy is not good.
-Do not join Sears India (Pune) , there is nothing you can learn except shouting at the management.

    Advice to Management

No advice can change the Management. Ridiculous Management.

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Sears full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good Packages, but you need to negotiate well
    cool work environment
CEO, Mr Alok Kumar is really a cool headed guy and always open for discussions

    Cons

    Some projects take the limelight
Good policies like Work From Home and flexy timings are getting things of past
    Poor onsite policy
    Managers oriented company
Quality of work is not so good. No real challenges.

    Advice to Management

Instead of changing policies on your own, you should take survey from internal employees too if they feel comfortable with that.
