I worked at Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Involvement by Sr Leadership, atmosphere of high accountability, solid processes in place to make sure no eligible pt is left behind, generous PTO, benefits are better than most healthcare organizations, open and honest conversations about expectations and performance. An organization that believes in personal and professional development.

    Cons

I️ can’t find anything I would consider a con. Some ppl don’t like a fast paced work environment with accountability (I️ did not say micromanaged bc that is not what happens) personally I️ believe this is why Seasons has been successful is bc of their pt centered focus and accountability to their standards.

    Advice to Management

Continue to stay true to the mission, continue to care about your teams and continue to coach, mentor and train.

I worked at Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care full-time

    Pros

Caring and compassionate teammates, and company mission

    Cons

Leadership is lacking the skills needed to prevent burnout. Be expected to work long hours and not be compensated appropriately. Health benefits are the worst I have ever encountered. HR is a mess and often makes mistakes in pay. Technology department is troublesome and makes working life hard and time consuming.

I have been working at Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice offices. Some staff try to lead. Good orientation in theory. Benefits are ok. Pay is ok. Time off is good.

    Cons

Toxic National leadership. Local leadership hides in their office. Nurses and others work all day and on call at night. They push you thru video orientation, the person who is your “mentor” has a full case load. No time for new staff if mentor has 20+ patients. Nurses have unmanageable case loads.

    Advice to Management

National and local leadership don’t/won’t listen. When you do voice your concerns you are shut down.

I have been working at Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Management cares about the staff, they are all easy to talk to and take pride in their jobs. The prior interim ED was the best person I have ever worked for. He treated us like family, and really brought us together as a "team". He would take the time to get to know us individually and made sure everyone was taken care of. He even called us by our last names, like a coach. I found this endearing.

    Cons

Loss of the interim ED/DBO. Lack of communication and unresponsiveness of staff aside from management.

    Advice to Management

Stop other personnel from abusing power, it will allow things to run more smoothly.

I have been working at Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Past and present interim E. D, both have been the best bosses I have worked for. They have been easy to talk to and help resolve any issues. Both have really pulled the team together in times of crisis they truly care about the field staff.

    Cons

Negative people with negative comments. If you see your teammate struggling don't take joy in it. Help them offer assistance, advice, your experience. We are a team and we are only as strong as our weakest link.
