    Pros

Above average compensation. World-class facility, systems and processes. Very smart and helpful coworkers. Surrounded by amazing oceanview and mountains.

    Cons

None that I can think of except perhaps they need a hot food cafeteria.

    Advice to Management

Continue to lead with integrity. Kudos to the leadership.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Seaspan as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Relatively small IT department and I worked with small project teams with knowledgeable resources. Decisions can be made relatively quickly due to the few layers of IT management hierarchy.

    Cons

Small teams can also mean limited resources and when there are concurrent IT projects that are same priority, it can be more difficult to manage and achieve targets. Lightweight IT processes can get things done quickly but balance shifts could result in fruitful overall quality, cost & productivity benefits.

    Advice to Management

I'd recommend that having an IT architect (at least part time) resource to provide guidance and alignment of both short term and long term initiatives and technical direction would help to streamline IT investment and portfolio.

    Pros

Fast paced, long term opportunities, wide variety of job descriptions and positions.

    Cons

Start-up stage of company leaves things running not very smoothly, probably wasting a lot of government money.

    Advice to Management

    Good luck.
