I worked at Seattle Boat Company part-time (Less than a year)
People are friendly and so are the customers. Everyone is happy to be working there and they are excited about helping people.
I was a deck hand so most of my work was moving boats in and out of the water with a lot of strain on my back. Some shifts would be long and some short depending on the weather.
Advice to Management
Provide some shade from the sun for the dockhands.
employee perks are a great part of working here
seasonal so it is slow in the winter
Friendly atmosphere. Friendly management. Working outside with boats. Use of employee boat during summer months! Good pay if you work fast and effectively (flat rate).
Unorganized sometimes due to workloads constantly changing. Inconsistant. Minimal work in the winter. Employees forced to figure out every problem themselves.
Great work atmosphere
Superiors very easy to get along with
Some days not much going on so it can get boring
