      Pros

      Great company! Wonderful patient focus!

      Cons

Revenue Cycle Department operates by completely different rules than the core company. The management does not want you to ask questions because then it shines a light on their lack of knowledge. They become defensive and one of them even has a habit of yelling at employees. During my time at SCCA Rev Cycle, I watched about 1/3 of the department leave due to unbearable conditions here. They also have little to no...

      Advice to Management

Pay your people industry standards. Hire people with experience, not just people who are willing to work for nothing. Put a training program in place. Stop promoting people who have no knowledge of what they will actually be doing. And get rid of the problem manager. You know, the one who has had multiple complaints filed against them.

      Pros

There is always a commitment to the next upgrade; there is true dedication to patient-centered care.

      Cons

Parking is a huge, expensive problem.

      Advice to Management

Attempt to find ways to accomodate employee parking that is free or less expensive than it currently is. Not everyone is able to take public transportation for various reasons.

      Cons

Be aware that management likes to play favorites and they have been observed to quietly promote their personal friends.

      Cons

Parking can be a challenge in the South Lake Union neighborhood.

      Advice to Management

Continue to seek to provide alternative commuting options for non-patient facing staff. As the development of value stream lean thinking progress, continue to encourage staff on how their work directly impacts the outcomes of strategic goals.

      Pros

Excellent patient care, culture of compassion, cool co-workers.

      Cons

Passive-aggressive/phony middle managers; treat you like you're 5 years old. This review is from when I was there in 2014. I've heard things have changed for the better.

I have been working at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance full-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

The company really tries to be people centric (both patient and employee). There are other benefits/perks which is nice, such as an onsite health clinic for employees.

      Cons

While seemingly people-centric, this support seems very spotty and variable depending on the department or even manager. There is a lot of silo issues and there needs to be more action in solving systemic issues overall.
