I have been working at Seattle Genetics full-time

    Pros

Great co-workers, area is nice, pay and benefits are good as well.

    Cons

Poor communication between management and both the internal IT structure and the organization as a whole.

Decisions and changes are made with little thought for what it entails to carry out said decisions and with little/no interaction with staff. Management is unable/unwilling to set a global standard, with exceptions granted for every policy.

Little room for advancement as the group structure is in flux and is reliant on management making decisions.

    Advice to Management

Keep upper management out of the daily work, there is too much micromanagement. Create more opportunities for upward mobility. Listen to the people who do the work before making decisions based on what sounds good or what the business partners want.

I have been working at Seattle Genetics (Less than a year)

    Pros

The work life balance in Seagen is good. Could learn a lot of knowledge from the colleagues. A lot of meetings with people from different functions.

    Cons

First, the green card application starts only after H1B being selected. Second, cannot work from home, on site only. But WFH is currently being discussed. It should be flexible in the future.

    Advice to Management

Manage system is good. The managers are really nice. But do not have the new employee training. Hope in the future will be better.
