SGEN's technology and products can and will have a tremendously positive impact on patient's lives and the future of oncology. There are a lot of hard-working, smart, and talented people working here in every functional area. The company does try hard to keep the patient at the center of its efforts and scientific endeavors.
Unfortunately, the SGEN corporate culture is toxic. You would hope that such a data-driven company would be a meritocracy, but sadly, it isn't. Fear-mongering and bullying play a significant role at key levels of management making it hard for even the best employees to affect positive change. Career advancement and mentoring appear to be nonexistent, leading to a high turnover rate.
Advice to Management
Identify the highest performing individuals and partner with them to determine what it takes to retain and promote good talent. Don't sweep negative, endemic culture issues under the rug - focus more on what's best for the business and less on creating a "tow the line" mentality that disenfranchises the best and brightest. The basis of the company is great technology and a commitment to patients - don't let a few bad apples poison the lot!

Good pay and nice location. A lot of truly great coworkers. The benefits are good. SeaGen's work makes a difference in people's lives.
Certain managers have no clue how to lead or motivate employees. Understaffing and stifling micromanagement are not effective leadership styles.
Advice to Management
Spend less time trying to get honest negative reviews removed from the internet and spent more time correcting the problems that lead to these reviews. Improvement starts by identifying your weaknesses, not erasing the evidence.
