I worked at Seattle Genetics full-time (More than 3 years)
Excellent benefits, great pay, the work they do there is top notch!
Management and communication with management is terrible. So much competition and infighting they will not help you succeed and actively help you fail once your reputation is damaged. The internal processes are overly complicated and full of workarounds due to no one being willing to admit processes are not optimal and try new approaches. Relationships with vendors is detrimental due to lack of willingness to admit internal policies are not optimal. Little to no upward mobility. Promotions are hired from outside rather then promoted from within.
Advice to Management
Stop competing with each other and employees, learn to be more flexible and willing to pivot to/try out different ideas.

Innovative company with a swift growing upward trajectory. Most of the people are great to work with and are great team players. Excellent benefits, easy access location.
Depending on the department you work in, upward mobility may be stiffled to a certain degree. Currently no work from home options or other flexible work arrangements "on the books". Any schedule flexibility is typically on the sly with your manager and is viewed as somewhat taboo. There are great training course that are coming into place for those going into or in management, though this is fairly new and there are many long term managers that were not provided the managerial/mentorship skills early on and they are not held accountable for improving any shortcomings in that arena. IT systems and computer equipment are a bit behind the times.
Advice to Management
Financial benefits are not the only way to retain quality employees. Please consider more work from home options and flexible work schedules for local employees. Commutes are something awful depending on where you live and with fewer distractions at home it is easier to be more productive/efficient. Phase out the dinosaur laptops at a swifter rate, they are not easy to work with.

The CEO and upper management foster a company culture that is very patient focused. The work environment is supportive, and benefits are good. Great science, people are very passionate about the work, and there is a high amount of integrity in the way things are done.
It can take time to achieve upward mobility due a relatively low turnover rate. Career development is treated by some managers as a black box which the employee should have limited knowledge of.
