Staff departments accordingly and build "game plan" before pursuing large scale growth operations. Compensate employees fairly.

I have been working at Securities America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The office consists of only four other people, who are very laid back and easy going. They take the time to train you so you know how to do your job effectively.

    Cons

The pack office in Omaha is awful! They do not have any organazation what so ever. You are generally on hold for a good 20 minutes before someone answers to help you, and when you are sitting in front of clients it makes you look like you look like you don't know what you are doing.

    Pros

I loved the atmosphere and the people that work there. Very driven to succeed. Management was willing to interact with employees and always wanted to help.

    Cons

When you walked on a floor, the only thing you saw were cubicles.

I worked at Securities America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Co-workers are nice and helpful

    Cons

Nickle and dime their employees when it comes to raises.
Promote people they like above someone who deserves it.
Throw money away to get new advisors, but lose existing reps due to lack of decent customer service.

    Advice to Management

Find a better way to determine your best employees and pay them accordingly before they leave. Get rid of half of your middle managers and hire people who actually work and serve a purpose.

    Pros

Your job is what you make of it. Management is more than willing to help you succeed. SAI provides the training and resources you need to do your job well. Management is accessible, open and honest. I think this is a great company.

    Cons

Would like better health care but I realize it is not cost effective.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing!

    Pros

Great managers that will make you feel appreciated. Lots of potential to grow in your career.

    Cons

Pays less than other companies, or so I've heard. But easy to move up here.

    Advice to Management

Pay more money if you want better employees, but the pay is still fair. But "fair" only afford so many "excellent" employees.

    Pros

If you can get in with a senior advisor looking to sell his business its a great way to break into the financial services industry

    Cons

It may take some time until you start to earn the income you want

    Advice to Management

Provide funds to train or pay associates a little better
