I worked at Security Finance full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

They don't really require you to have any experience, so everything is on the job training which is nice. You get free individual health care and bonuses up to 400 a month.

    Cons

Long hours, the companies communication skills are poor at best, constant policy changes, you don't get paid out for your mileage for training until you get back from your training so you have to have money up front and if they find out you are looking for another job to better yourself they will treat to bad. Also if you tell on your manager about something wrong he is doing he will know about it and you will be stuck working with him after the fact and is a highly st

I worked at Security Finance full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I managed 4 separate offices and among those 4...3 were enjoyable. It's like family in most offices when you have a good team behind you. The benefits are good and Corporate treats the employees well. Insurance is free for employees and cheap to add family. Dollar per Dollar 401k match

    Cons

Poor leadership at Supervisor/VP levels. To many good leaders and team members either walk away or lose their jobs because of personal relationships Supervisors have with other employees. Breaking laws is something that happens often here as well. Corp and Auditing team needs to be more aware of what's going on. Fear of job loss for breaking and for not breaking company policies and collection laws is an issue. Long hours / Sat work / lack of life/work balance. Optional Insurances are forced on customers without knowledge and are not sold to customers. SENIOR assistants that still follow old/outdated collection practices that are by law banned.

They offer good pay and excellent benefits. After your third year you get two weeks of vacation and sick time.
