I worked at Security Service Federal Credit Union (Less than a year)

    Pros

You eventually went home, co-workers, managers left early without telling you. Lunch hours.

    Cons

Worst management I have ever seen in a company. Turn over is EXTREMELY, everything is a secret, low ball pay but do more then your jobs title, lying about things, promotions go to the worst employees who are willing to throw people under the bus and are power hungry. Management is rude and disrespectful to longtime members and employees they don't like.

    Advice to Management

You are a large CU stop pushing out long timers with experience and bringing in young power hungry 'management' to work your branches. If you had good mangers they wouldnt feel threatend by current employees. The screening process for branch and assistant managers is horrible, the best candidates don't/won't apply and better ones leave. Just because a person has longevity doesn't make them management material.

I worked at Security Service Federal Credit Union full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful co-workers, good pay and benefits.

    Cons

Horrible management team micromanagement and uses threats to try and get you to achieve goals. Going the direction of a bank and away from a Credit Union environment so if you like to hear how awful/good you do several times a day on your goals and like to be threatened for your job with meeting goals this is the place for you.

    Advice to Management

Need to really evaluate your management team. Remember and go back to the CU philosophy not for profit and member owned.
