    Pros

I have really enjoyed my work at Sedgwick. Every person I have come into contact with in person or via phone has been incredibly pleasant to work with.

    Cons

    I haven't been here long enough, I guess. I think it's great.

I have been working at Sedgwick Claims Management Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Friendly coworkers, free coffee and food fairly often, offsite events, half days off before holidays, and PTO. Comfortable work environment

    Cons

No diversity in leadership at Memphis HQ. Leadership skills from outside Sedgwick are not valued. I have worked at corporate for many years and in the last 6 months we have recently run off a talented CMO with a successful background, a talented military veteran in marketing with great leadership skill who would still be here if he was white, and high turnover in auditing and IT.

    Advice to Management

Spend time listening to colleague concerns and understand that when people leave they influence current colleagues who respect them.

I worked at Sedgwick Claims Management Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Decent salary, benefits and PTO.

    Cons

The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Training is almost non-existence, yet management expects you to do your job well with very little training. The excuse is, "well no one trained me. I had to learn it on my own." There is no communication from management, and there is definitely no work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

Provide training and communication, and be more aware that some employees have responsibilities other than their jobs. Some managers expect you to work excessive amounts of overtime, with no appreciation or gratitude.

    Pros

Awesome development team! Flexible work schedule with great, stress-free environment and management. Excellent experience working with senior developers. I have learned so much!

    Cons

Not a Full-Time position which I would like to be. My salary isn't as much s a full-time .NET developer position would bring. Otherwise, everything else is wonderful. I work with great people who love their job as much as I do.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    Pros

I love that we can work from home. Great benefits, lots of PTO, opportunity to move up within company. They try to show appreciation to employees.

    Cons

You do feel like a bit of a cog in a machine because you are trying to meet time and production demands. Some of the systems are a bit flawed.

    Advice to Management

It would be nice to be able to fix some of the systems to make them a bit more streamlined.

I have been working at Sedgwick Claims Management Services full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

PTO is generous. Most of the colleagues are passionate and dedicated to helping people through their work; they are happy to share their knowledge and experience.

    Cons

The workload can be overwhelming at times. Most departments are staffed very leanly - frankly there are not enough people to do the work that needs to be done. There is also an environment of favoritism. If the right person likes you, you will be promoted whether or not you're qualified for the position.

    Advice to Management

Be more objective when promoting people and hire more people to do the work.
