I worked at Seedco full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Talented, well educated staff who are invested in the mission of community development.

    Cons

Extremely top heavy and large discrepancy between junion staff, middle management and senior staff salary ( upwards of $120,000 with questionable experience in the field).

    I worked at Seedco full-time

    Pros

None here, folks! Otherwise I would be lying...

    Cons

When staff start to reminisce about wanting Bill Grinker (AKA The Itchy Hitler) you know the current CEO is beyond horrible! Keep an eye on their 990's - executive staff is over-compensated with almost nothing but scandal to show for their efforts.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of your CEO! She's clueless and makes everyone else (line employees - executive team is just as stupid and lazy as her) look bad. Do a Google on Seedco and read all about their scandalous misappropriations!

    I worked at Seedco full-time

    Pros

Seedco was an awesome employer where I was able to gain experience in state contracts, data analysis, and nonprofits.

    Cons

Awesome employer, but there was no real growth within the company. It felt as if you were stagnant once hired.

    I worked at Seedco full-time

    Pros

Friendly, mission-driven individuals with academic intelligence and passion for the work.

    Cons

Emphasis on higher-education degrees left management lacking in managerial skill. Staff development and growth was difficult for that reason, as well as the lack of resources for internal learning.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your workforce and reward employees through support and development. Monetize offerings in order to be able to provide these resources.

    Advice to Management

    Challenge your employees.
