    Pros

Seedling has been closed for over a year now. It's worth noting how driven, resilient and talented the employees were; I am lucky to have worked alongside them. Additionally, the company made innovative and meaningful children's products that the team truly believed in.

    Cons

The company was failing, which caused immense pressure. There were unrealistic expectations and demands put on undervalued employees. The environment was chaotic, stressful and full of mistrust; the instability was palpable.

Toxic environment, Shady business practices, mismanagement of investors funds

    Pros

Under new ownership (HOMER) so hopefully management has changed

    Cons

    - Managers were unscrupulous with their investor's funds and allowed employees to fill in timesheets with inaccurate information when the company was under third-party management and directed to give no paid time off - Paychecks came lame - Culture of bullying - Adversarial behavior was rewarded - Two managers gave negative employee references after saying they would be "happy to provide a reference"

    Toxic environment

    Pros

Can't think of any except for some great team members Potential (doubled edged sword)

    Cons

Never been in a company wherein CEO will actively participate in tearing down team members at any level of the company. This feedback is shared openly with anyone who is willing to listen and creates an environment of distrust and paranoia. There is no basic professionalism and respect. There is no regard or appreciation for any efforts or accomplishments. Every single person is made to feel that they are not valued and are not worthy. General air of depression and unhappiness permeates. If you are thinking about working at this place, DON'T!

    Going down hill!

    Pros

Office is in a fun area of DTLA.

    Cons

Seedling is definitely going down hill. It's really sad - was a really cute arts and craft oriented toy brand and really lost it's direction at some point. Multiple rounds of layoffs, employees resigning, not a happy environment to walk into on the daily. I'd be very surprised if the company was able to keep their doors open for the remainder of the year.

    Stay Away

    Pros

The only pro I can think of is that the office is walking distance to some good places to eat.

    Cons

Terrible unsafe location, no parking, benefits are lack luster. No opportunity for growth, even if you're promised such. Ideas aren't listened to unless you're in the Favorites Circle. Communication is lacking. Leadership is failing. Employees aren't allowed to take time off between Thanksgiving and Christmas because of seasonal rush. Minimal holidays. Wouldn't recommend anyone I know to work there even if I got a huge bonus out of it.

    Pros

Great niche products that have potential. Snacks and free lunches.

    Cons

No parking, poor leadership, no opportunities for growth, blatant back stabbing, voices not heard, useless group exercises, terrible planning.
