Great Company
Jan 17, 2023 - Anonymous Employee in Los Angeles, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Seek Capital has been a great company starting out. Several things worth pointing out are within the overall atmosphere. Since Seek Capital is an SMB, it allows the management team to easily help everyone get acquainted with the overall job feel. My fellow team members have been welcoming and wonderful helping me get setup in my role. Seek Capital does fun and interesting things such as having a large celebration a few times a year for all employees. Workplace diversity can lead to increased revenue, reduced costs, greater innovation, and increased employee engagement, productivity, and commitment. The hiring process was transparent and easily streamlined. All expectations were made clear throughout the entire process. I look forward to ]achieving the expectations placed in front of me.
Cons
It's hard to write cons because I genuinely enjoy the company.

Not as good or as bad as the reviews portray
Aug 9, 2022 - Senior Funding AdvisorRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
It's a straight up meritocracy, if you are willing to tirelessly throw yourself at the position apply the training and put in the work you can make a good living. A lot of the 1 star reviews are from people who simply didn't apply themselves or were not good enough but hard work (more on that below) is 100% rewarded. 2 stars for the opportunity that exists here, as you can absolutely make good money.
Cons
The minimum expectation here is to work 6 days per week, 10 hours per day, in order to survive in the Senior level sales role. A lot of the 5 star reviews are from vets who not only tolerate but likely actually enjoy this type of long brutal relentless work. The type of people who would work long hours without being asked in any role. There's a fair amount of pressure to "go on Glassdoor and review us!" with a nod and a wink which is why this business is so highly rated. The actual credit card based lending vehicle is probably good for certain aspiring entrepreneurs but not all, and management really doesn't care if a prospect is a bad fit so long as you close the deal and it funds. It's a great option for someone with a well designed business plan and a lot of industry experience but a horrible idea for others with less experience and a minimal or completely non existent business plan. Failing to close any prospect no matter how absurd the circumstances is considered an utter failure. If it was possible to give negative stars for work/life balance, I would. This place is a meat grinder that chews through people, plain and simple. Benefits were minimal and costly.

Outstanding Hands-on Training to Employees
Aug 17, 2021 - Funding Advisor in Los Angeles, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I was very overwhelmed with regards to the dedication and time Seek Capital they put on trainings to their Funding Advisors. They provide situational trainings weekly with their Funding Advisors which helped the Funding Advisors to reach their full potential and become the best sales person they could imagine The trainers are very accommodating and are ready to answer all FAs concerns with accuracy and precision which are very helpful in specific situation. Seek Capital also asked for employees day-to-day commitment to helped remind each employees about their goals which also helped employees to enhance their drive and passion in their own field. Roy Ferman, the CEO, also conducts training with the Funding Advisors and provide very realistic response to every situation in sales field. Which I am very honored to hear words from him and able to learn fresh and helpful things from him.
Cons
I see no problem working with Seek Capital. Everyone is very nice and helpful. Everyone is being active on their success, providing 11 start experience, moves with purpose and helping everyone to grow as a person and as a team.

Will sharpen your skills as a sales professional
Nov 14, 2021 - Funding AdvisorRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Each department has a sales trainer assigned to help you progress within the company. Having been in sales for the last 10 years I've had a handful of mentors who have made an impact in my professional development. It's not too often that I have come across management that focuses on your skillset and polishes areas of improvement with hands on training on a weekly basis. In the time that I've worked under Samara I believe I've grown to understand the psychology of why customers provide certain objections and how to prevent them from happening by addressing them before they can be said. You will be provided the tools you need to succeed. The rest is up to you.
Cons
I have none to speak of.
Thanks for the kind words! You are right, Samara is amazing!! Training is a big focus for us, we know that with continual training, we can all accomplish more!

Thank you for your feedback, it's greatly appreciated. It's this kind of feedback that helps us learn what we need to improve on, again, thank you! Our Core Values are: 1. Be active in your own success 2. Provide an 11 Star experience 3. Move with Purpose 4. I grow, you grow, we grow! Your feedback gives us the opportunity to learn and grow- thank you! Regarding your specifics; 1. Yes, you are spot on- we have a LOT of training with multiple full time sales trainers and yes, all leads are warm, so no cold calling. We have a great team that really works in a collaborative manner to help one another learn and grow. 2. Regarding commissions, you are correct, there is a heavy emphasis on product pull through. Senior Funding Advisors are paid on collected revenue not 'sold' revenue. So if a client cancels or doesn't pay, there is no commissions. We find this helps align all team members to the same goal, provide an amazing service to our client and ensure the company receives payment. 3. You are correct, the payment structure has changes multiple times over the years. As our company has continued to grow rapidly, added new services, new workflows etc we have had to continue to evolve with those changes. One area of focus is to ensure that our staff are never paid less when we make these changes, they have always ended up in a better position then the prior structure. This can be seen when we do a simple comparison of the average monthly pay in today's structure vs previous years. The average is significantly higher today than ever. Additionally, if there has been a ramp up transition period, we have ensured that those team members receive 'transition pay' to ensure they aren't paid less because they moved to a different department or different role. Change is inevitable in a rapidly growing company and our goal is to minimize/ remove the impact on our staff's pay check. 4. Self regulation of pay required to ensure no wage theft. This is quite a serious allegation to infer there has ever been any actual or intended wage theft. This is categorically false and completely without merit. We do encourage our staff to track their own sales, payments etc and encourage open dialogue and cross referencing of commission calculations. On the odd occasion there is some kind of abnormality, which though rare, has occurred over the years, our finance team will rectify immediately and ensure the staff member is made whole immediately. Thank you for your honest feedback and we hope the comments above are helpful. We wish you all the success in the world in your future endeavors!

Pros
I have been an employee at Seek Capital for 2 months and I have already been promoted from Funding Advisor to Senior Funding advisor; essential training provided to bring out the best in their Employees; advancement opportunities and access to upper management unlike most companies. Seek wants their employees to excel and if you are struggling in your job, you can always get help; great use of technology. The job is demanding and therefore I push myself to excel daily and weekly but great cash incentives as well
Cons
Every job has it's challenges but at Seek, I can take them to management and I have already seen them implement changes based on my and my teammates input
