I worked at Selby Jennings full-time

    Pros

Very team based approach and high cohesiveness between members. Management really does a lot in order to make success more convenient for individuals.

    Cons

Weekly and/or Monthly quotas are annoying because the company emphasizes them but they aren't necessarily the best indicators of performance.

    Advice to Management

Create a better system for performance optimization than simply increasing the margins for weekly/monthly quotas.

I worked at Selby Jennings full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

-This is a great place to begin your career and earn some great money (six figures)
-you will learn some basic sales techniques
-Access to sr. management- If you have an idea about the business, senior management will listen to you and in some cases give you the reigns to correct or implement your idea
    - great perks but only for top billers

    Cons

    - long hours, strictly enforced. If you are 5 mins late you get written up; you cant even leave 5 mins early or you will be judged as not working hard
    - everyone here is a fresh grad, who is greedy and hungry to make money, its a great place to be in sales but not to further expand your career and grow as a professional. Good for 1-2 years experience but after that you cant expect much personal growth
    - team managers are young and inexperienced, often with their own agenda

  3. "Great Potential, But Probably Won't Live Up to Promises"

I have been working at Selby Jennings full-time

    Pros

Pretty good environment if you're young and this is your first job. There is potential to make a lot of money and get promoted, but it's dependent on what space you get hired in. Great benefits packages and a lot of cool incentives for employees. As far as recruitment companies go, it's probably one of the best ones to work at. Recruitment in general can just be tough.

    Cons

Similar cons to any recruitment firm. Bit of a sweatshop, but probably less than elsewhere. One huge con is that they over-promise and under-deliver. Yes, there is potential, but very few people are able to reach it.

    Pros

Let you know how bad a recruitment firm can be, and what to look for to find a good one

    Cons

    Fraud, no ethics.
For candidates, probe for questions. Even told me to forward emails I traded with an employer that was not introduced through them

    Advice to Management

    Stop

I have been working at Selby Jennings full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The culture
    The vision
    The drive

If you want to succeed here you will. You have to take the initiative to advance your career and make money, but if you're invested and you utilize the resources around you then you will do well. I like the fact that the amount of $$ I can make is never capped. You get out what you put in.

You may sometimes need to seek them out - but people here - consultants, trainees, management, even the MDs and CEO...they will back you. They will support you and help you and fight for you and with you. Phaidon family is a real thing that's alive and well in the culture of this company.

    Cons

The recruitment industry can be tough, it has its ups and downs and not everyone is cut it for it - but the people around you make it easier to get through the rough days.

    Pros

    Absolutely nothing. STAY WAY.

    Cons

They are nasty, they only call you to collect information from you. They are total fraud, they do NOT have any opportunities for you but they just call to gather information from you, asking very private and confidential information. DO NOT TRUST THEM, NEVER EVER. STAY AWAY!

    Pros

Can't think of any. There's nothing good about this firm unless you are looking for a relationship with a colleague.

    Cons

I've been in recruitment for over 10 years now, this company is a absolute shocker.
every of their single employees are being taught to lie to clients / candidates. poor management, every managers is young and ignorant. Never pay your salary on time, always looking at reason to screw you over if you don't abide to their flirty ways of working.
one of the employees' even managed to scam Selby Jennings money, why? lack of proper managers who actually understands recruitment.
    sales man technique

    Advice to Management

Take a look and learn from other established recruitment agencies, stop behaving like you are in the movie "wolf of wall street"
wake up and look around. have some morels

the culture, the people, the mobility, the opportunity for growth

    Cons

a large part of your comp is commission based, so what you put in is what you get out- which can mean longer hours if you want to make really good $$$

    Advice to Management

keep on keeping on and continue to keep communication open to employees
