I have been working at Select Medical part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a wonderful place to learn everything the hard way. You'll be able to work any place and handle the worst of the worst working conditions after gaining experience with such disorganized leadership. Excellent co-workers but you rarely have time to enjoy them.

    Cons

Poor staffing. Poor scheduling. Unsafe practices that will endanger your license daily. Poor equipment. Dishonesty. Poor patient safety. Poor leadership.

    Advice to Management

Just start all the way back over. Please.

    Pros

Lots of administrators to make rules and write emails

    Cons

Too many patients for not enough staff. No clear idea of quality medical care, but lots of slogans.

    Advice to Management

Come down to the clinics and see what you've made. You should be ashamed.

I worked at Select Medical full-time

    Pros

Interesting patients, family members and interactions with medical staff. Learned a lot about various diagnoses.

    Cons

Job instability. Lack of respect from CEO on down. CNO only valued patients getting OOB. Hours cut at a days' notice. No CEU reimbursement. No flexibility. Hospital closed with 11 days notice. Some received severance packages. Not sure how they're able to justify such discrimination.

I worked at Select Medical full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

good company to work with only if with the knowledgeable department head.

    Cons

not environmental friendly, waste of power just to cover their issue. false promises, vendor dependent??

    Advice to Management

need to have an independent audit/inspection/check to save and solve the issue.
I worked for a while and noticed a lot of issue from the very start. the department is very dependent from the vendor and is not aware of the actual locations of mechanical and don't have the plan to contain and prevent the problem.
the department don't have the right tools neither the right repair kits nor the spare parts for the fixtures.
the department head always hired experienced trade person only to get the idea and will terminate as soon she learned some of her defects.
