    Pros

Great establishment, coworkers and pay. Sign a statement yearly to lock in ethical practices. Exceptional continuing ed available online. Adequate computer Access and tech support.

    Cons

Routine neglect of quality assurance, Medicare and ethical billing and documentation practices which they require you acknowledge...but to keep your job and be 92% "PRODUCTIVE" ..impossible with the logistics of patient transportation and highly detailed and regulated paperwork in chaotic environment of a room full of hard of hearing people. Reactive shortsighted management. Poor if any training for rehab directors and new staff orientation.

    Advice to Management

Do an undercover boss and find out. ..Take a stopwatch. ..just clocking in takes 5 minutes. Log in 20 times through the day ..10 min. Transport 6 patients ..30 min. Check it out. Somebody in accounting is managing numbers without a reality check...Fraud.
Get some feedback from users of softwear for improved menu choices and ability to document clearly.
Cut out the cumbersome quiz responses in continuing ed online programs. The rehab u is great but difficult to navigate. How many passwords does a person need?

    Pros

The therapists employed by the this company are an absolute blast to work with. The company itself is not fun to work for, as they are slow to respond to reimbursement for mileage and hours worked. Lots of of run around, with a real lack of caring and communication between management and staff.

    Cons

Poor management response to employees needs and concerns.

    Advice to Management

Be more professional in how and when they respond back with employee concerns and questions. An employee has to literally be a pest to get anywhere with this company when it comes to legitimate help which the company should provide.

I have been working at Select Rehabilitation full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

None. Worst years of my career as OT. Low pay. No good things to write. Only a good director we have. But at corporate level, nothing is good.

    Cons

100% productivity. No sick time. No salary increase for 7 years. Good director and co-therapists. Pay is low!!!Expensive medical insurance.

I have been working at Select Rehabilitation part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Wages are competitive. As a PRN going to different facilities the other therapists and staff have been very helpful and nice. Decent communication between staff.

    Cons

First paycheck was late due to communication issues. There computer charting system is slightly outdated and facilities I've been in could use a few more materials.

    Advice to Management

Keep being helpful and friendly, it makes PRN staff willing to help whenever needed.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Select Rehabilitation (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I loved the facilities I've worked and the staff. I find that their pay rate tends to be higher than most.

    Cons

92-94% productivity is absolutely ridiculous. No raises in 6 years, no sick pay, no continuing ed reimbursement, no overtime, the list goes on. Only one person in that discipline can take the holiday off. Everyone else has to cover self on the weekend. Big time micro managers. You can't DC your patients until the clinical manager approves. Feel like a number vs. an employee.

    Advice to Management

Let your program managers do their job and keep your thumb off of them, that is what you hire them for. Give your staff a raise once in a while. Say thank you, a little goes a long way.

I have been working at Select Rehabilitation full-time

    Pros

Great pay, flexible hours, vacation time always granted, supportive managers

    Cons

No 401-k match, cant adjust 401-k anytime, no sick time, only allowed to carry over 40 hours PTO...should be 80 to plan a longer vacation.

    Advice to Management

Update benefits to be adjusted electronically. We still have to fill out forms and fax them to HR. Very outdated. Give the employee control of their retirement funds. Allow adjustments at anytime of the year electronically. Allow carry over of 80 hours of PTO so that if you are taking a 2 week vacation after roll over in June, you dont have to take it without pay.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

If you hire people actually give them hours
