I have been working at Selfridges (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's really enjoyable to work at Selfridges Oxford st. The environment is nice, their is opportunities to grow up and the salary is good. The hours are also good, not really exhausting and allow you to socialize after work. well, I guess that also depend the floor and brand you working with. It's better to be own bought than concession at some point. The discount are also ok, up to 35%.

    Cons

Well, there is none for the moment. Maybe the department manager could be more easy to contact when you need help with a customer but overall I can't find any con.

    Advice to Management

Some manager feel superior and a bit arrogant with the staff, you should work on that point. Except that keep working as you do !

    I worked at Selfridges part-time

    Pros

Everyone is professional, lovely environment to work in. Working on the click and collect desk can get quite hectic as it also doubles up as the customer services.

    Cons

Colleagues and customers are a bit snobby, some very rude customers, had to learn a lot of things on the job.

    Advice to Management

Let us know if we are being kept on or not. It's been over 1.5 months since my Christmas temp contract ended so I'd like to know asap.

    - You are praised and rewarded for your efforts and achievements.

    Facilities:

    Advice to Management

    - Try to find a way to create opportunities for staff to progress within the business.
