I have been working at Seminole Electric full-time

    Pros

Somewhat friendly but distant and pretty courteous.

    Cons

They appear disorganized and bored interviewing potential candidates.

    Advice to Management

Pulling a bait and switch during an interview is not a way to attract talent. They advertise no experience, dont list any real job duties and expect you to work below the current rate of the industry. They can make you feel your time is being wasted.

The staff, in general, are very friendly and professional. Very family oriented work place.

    Cons

The room for advancement is very tight, at least right now.

I worked at Seminole Electric full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Seminole has a great atmosphere and everyone is friendly. Not typically a demanding place to work. The benefits were very good.

    Cons

Management was not typically receptive to change and changes were slowly implemented. Pay was okay considering how good their benefits were, but was a little low.

    Advice to Management

I liked the steps management was starting to take to improve the technology being used. Keep up the good work.

    Pros

Very friendly, low pressure atmosphere. Has a small company feel where everyone seems to know everyone. Great CEO and leadership overall.

    Cons

For software developers, there is little opportunity to advance your skills by using newer technologies. The company is moving towards buying 3rd party tools to install.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work

I have been working at Seminole Electric full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good pay and decent benefits for the area.

    Cons

Not a lot of advancement for women or minorities. Management forbids current employees from communicating with people who have left the company, outside of the office. The HR department is very unprofessional. Management claims the culture is that of a family, yes if you are not one of the people management views as the black-sheep.

    Advice to Management

Hold upper/mid-management to the same standards expected of front line employee. Also management should avoid a witch-hunt mentality whenever employee issues arise. Positive moral will work wonders.
