    Good community. Some long-term staff.

    Cons

Reactionary policy development. Inconsistent/inadequate communication of company policy/direction throughout all levels of the organization.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Senior Care Centers full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great residents and a few select staff members. Great benefits as well. Sign on bonus after you work there a month as a CNA.

    Cons

Incompetent employees. Mostly African CNAS and nurses which is fine if you don't mind them talking about you in their language. They don't pay you based on years of experience which means you don't get what you deserve

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your staff before they get state to shut you down

Pay, residents and coworkers. If ever i worked there, i knew i was in good hands if anything happen. The regular or charge nurses are good at what they do and will help if needed.

    Cons

Most of the unit managers should not be in their given position .

    Advice to Management

    Pros

I read some of these reviews and I'm like really is that the appreciation there were going to show Senior Care of Dallas for giving us opportunity 2 maintain and sustain our self through employment and job stability. Here it Senior Care Centers our administrator she's the very best. Her team of professionals they work hard to maintain and sustain those of us who or still learning must continue to learn and to show gratitude and appreciation to be able to have an influence and to be a part of something it's bigger than any one of us look at the people look at the residence our residents have many Freedom's that in times past we're simply not available SCC try very hard to make SCC of Dallas home because home is where the heart is now if this were a perfect world there will be no need of continuing education or workshops what I hope is that my experience here that Senior Care will continue to evolve and that I May achieve a higher level of dedication that I may be ambiguous for right now I remain disambiguous until my change comes 4 it is better to be a part of something good-growing building renovations continue activities to improve the spirits of our residents and staff dietary work so hard housekeeping work so hard administrative staff work so hard Frontline employees we aim to represent SCC well for me being a Frontline employee is a complete circle that means if I see anything the needs attention just like a Soldier will.

    Cons

It's difficult for me to express downside concerning my bread and water has value loyalty has there any appreciation for the the one who sustains me? I'm loyal to the queen

    Advice to Management

My advice to management would be to never forget there you are educators instructors examples teachers friends and the fibers that hold sometimes those are big shoes to fill so discover what responsibilities may be lifted from your shoulders to balance the weight? What workshops may be developed for continuing education training Frontline employees If This Were a restaurant they will be shift leaders where are the young men the strong ones the ones who are willing the ones who will listen they're out there do you know what CNAs need they need the young man for they already have the young ladies always always ladies where are the young men ? No shade... Sometimes I feel like I could be doing more apparently I've been doing too much. Here lately I feel like I have disappointed the one whose approval matters the most. I've been reading up on policies procedures code of conduct and employee Wellness I don't want to be the one next time who didn't know something that's important. front-line employees security Hospitality aide receptionist are used to find the word Hospitality Aid distasteful what a shame because to be hospitable and to show hospitality is exactly what love is and we know that love is life.

I have been working at Senior Care Centers full-time

    Pros

Good pay when coming straight out of school. Overtime is time and a half pay. Most office people are really friendly. Getting to know your residents is rewarding. Most of the time everyone works well together. It can be hard work but rewarding. You learn to prioritize.

    Cons

Paper charting. Sometimes it is overwhelming and nearly impossible to finish on time. You will never leave "on time" . You only know your patients, if you need to take care of a different hall, you know no one. Several workers refer to the residents as "Grandma" or "Mom", I know that might not be horrible but I count it as a con because it is something that can feed into their confusion but is viewed as cutesy or a way to keep a patient calm. I've also heard the names, "babe" and "hot daddy". :/

    Advice to Management

A per shift huddle. I miss morning huddles and it would be a great opportunity to find out about ALL the patients because you need to know what to watch for even if they are not your patient. For example, some people go in and out of the facility to the porch ad-lib, others have alarms and others should have alarms but don't. Also we should know if they are often confused or forgetful because what if someone assumes that a sound-minded person is demented and doesn't take them serious.
