    Corporate management is difficult to please and had unrealistic demands.

    Let each community run itself based in the needs of its specific members, not a cookie cutter, one size fits all approach to all the communities you own.

    I have been working at Senior Living Communities full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    The PTO option is nice if only it accrued faster as a full time employee.

    Cons

    Team work is NON-EXISTENT. There is no resources. When you need help, no one is to be found or they refuse to help. The communication between employees and management is poor. I was promised so much during orientation but all of it was a way to get people in. I hate coming to work because I know I will leave unhappy.

    Advice to Management

    Be truthful to new employees. Listen to employees concerns and do something about it. Instruct other team members on how to be helpful to others and be a resource in time of need. It is very unsafe to put one CNA to 12-24 residents, especially those that are total care. There needs to be more help on night shift and everyone needs to be helpful, including nurses. Something also needs to be done in regards to employees showing up late, making night shift stay over just so they can walk in with their Starbucks.

    Great PTO benefit and members are usually gracious.

    Pay and benefits were low.

    Your heads are in the clouds, supervisors seem to have little training or direction.

    - Mission & Vision are passed down from top leadership
    - Positive atmosphere not only at Wellmore D.I. but at all communities within the SLC or Wellmore portfolio
    - Community leaders have a lot of autonomy

    The pay is good, the benefits are solid, my co-workers are awesome and the residents are awesome!

    Cons

    The days can be long, but they're very rewarding knowing that you're helping seniors live a better quality of life.

    Pros

    The PTO policy is one of the best perks and often undervalued by other staff. There are lots of opportunities to learn and work in different areas of the business.

    Cons

    It is a small company, so you sometimes have to work in areas you may not be interested in.

    Keep People First Always and you will continue to succeed.

    Pros

    clean place, nice residents, flexible schedule

    Cons

    Pay is terrible considering you have to take care of humans and are basically responsible for their lives while your working. Very cliquey, you have to be from this area and be buddies with a manager to advance to advance. Hard work does not always pay off.

    Advice to Management

    Don't expect us to work like dogs for $10 an hour when the company is a multi million dollar company.
