    Negative Outlook

I have been working at SeniorCare EMS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

One of the largest commercial EMS companies in the NYC area. As a result you will be exposed to different systems and areas and there are some 911 opportunities. Scheduling flexibility is better than most jobs and most of the equipment is in good shape and logistics takes care of you.

    Cons

Low pay and lackluster benefits, minimal upward mobility and some of the lowest raises I have ever seen in any EMS job. Management means well but the company is often so large that it is not run effectively or well.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at SeniorCare EMS full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy to apply and get hired. Weekly paychecks. Multiple work locations. Some experienced, knowledgeable and competent people to work with. Company has vision towards its future.

    Cons

Pay is horrifyingly low, management has no regard for their employees, treat them horribly. Few people with much experience to work with due to high turnover. The company needs to consider that its vision for its future needs to take its employees into consideration - without them they won't have any future.

    Advice to Management

Pay employees decently, treat employees with respect. They can only help you grow as a company if you treat them well. Happy employees make for happier management.

    Cons

Dispatch is annoying, they expect you to give 110% without eating or utilizing the restroom

I have been working at SeniorCare EMS full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

They are always willing to help you learn and grow in this company. You have experience personal on the road and in the dispatch office

    Cons

The work is very demanding but the only reason it's that way is because they provide the best services to their customers

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at SeniorCare EMS (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Company has great vision when it comes to its future.
    Company continues to grow

    Cons

    Terrible Pay
    Growth opportunity limited by pay
    Inexperienced drivers

    Advice to Management

Take better care of employees and the company wouldn't be used as a stepping stone rather a place to actually have a career to grow in.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at SeniorCare EMS part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company gives you excellent initial exposure to the preclinical emergency field.
You will also meet some of the coolest coworkers while riding on the ambulance.

    Cons

Over time you will realize that your skills as an EMT are going to waste doing transports with intermittent emergencies.
You will never ever get off on time. When I first started working for the company, I presumed this was simply a negative outlook by most employees; after having worked with the company for almost 9 months, I have come to the painful conclusion of just how accurate that statement is.

    Advice to Management

Care about your employees a little more. Send out an anonymous survey/questionnare asking about areas that need improvement.
Don't insult employees with a starting salary of a fast food worker.

    Pros

Great partners. Always something new to learn. This is a great stepping stone if you're trying to get into the EMS world. Lots of patient contact. Allows you to use most skills if you are fresh out of EMT class. 911 is available but you need to work for it. Very flexible schedule and overtime is always available.

    Cons

Some dispatchers are very unprofessional at times. Some trucks are poorly maintained on the core side. Tablets will freeze on you. You will get extremely hot in the summer with the uniforms.. Pay.

    Advice to Management

Seasonal Uniforms to provide crew comfort in the hot days of summer. Maintain trucks so that nobody will have an issue especially if on a job or patient on board. Pay better!

    Pros

    currently lots of empty shifts

    Cons

management ranges from nasty to backstabbing
almost everything they do is unethical and/or outright insurance fraud

    Advice to Management

Do the right thing by employees
Do the right thing by taxpayers and stop stealing millions from Americans who pay into Medicaid and Medicare.
