  1. "Good learning experience...technology struggled to find a market."

I worked at SensAble Technologies full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Worked here pre-2010. The technology was always terrific, but it just never found the right niche to be sustainable. IN the early days there was a real sense of ownership from the top right on down. Obviously it diminished over time, but early managers were interested in growing the company, but also helping employees grow.

    Cons

Always a cash crunch and because of the investments needed to grow, always beholden to investors.

    Advice to Management

Too late now...don't think that the problems were anyone's fault per-se. Just never found the right application for the technology (at last during my employment)

    Pros

Fast paced environment. Innovative programmers. Great core technology.

    Cons

The company is run by the investors. Senior management, despite any degrees they may hold, do not even know their own product or industry they service. Layoff after layoff the same people who are responsible for the failure of the company are still there.

    Advice to Management

Listen to junior members that know what they are talking about.

  4. "It is a merciless company, looking to laying off employees for making Bain Capital happy"

I worked at SensAble Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Very nice co-workers, nice environment

    Cons

Greedy management. Entirely ruthless in terms of lay offs. I have been in those layoff decision making meetings. What goes on/ is discussed behind closed doors regarding workforce they are planning on slashing is totally discriminatory and illegal.

    Advice to Management

Stop this before you are caught in a big lawsuit
