    Advice to Management

Hire only senior leaders who have the experience and clear track records of success and results delivery.

I have been working at Sensient Technologies full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Pays well.Great place to work for industrious and self motivated people.

    Cons

Revolving door of management is disruptive and ineffective. It's also demoralizing to long time and new employees. If you don't have a degree don't expect your voice to be heard. All the PHD's,MBA's and degrees mean nothing if you don't have the common sense to simply work together.

    Advice to Management

Listen.Stop the bickering and witch hunts.Learn to work as a team respecting all involved.Stop making excuses for poor management. Respect and integrity are better than any financial /material incentive.

I worked at Sensient Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is nothing positive about this company except that its a job.

    Cons

Required to work 24/7 including on vacation. Worked 16 to 18 hours a day and still upper management demanded to work more hours. 32 project running simultaneously and not enough time to complete management work. No life beyond working. No avenue for advancement or possibility of compensation increase. No identified technology/services path so projects are all over the board. Hard working individuals fired just because upper management does not like them. Benefits none existent.

    Advice to Management

Identify 5 year tech/service path. Treat your employees with respect and common decency. A person can not "push the pebble" on so much work and still be expected to perform adequate work on all projects. If you keep on rushing all the project nothing will be done properly and than extra time is required to fix it.

    Pros

My coworkers are nice. Sometimes. During holidays people bring snacks to eat. This is a well established company so the name recognition is there.

    Cons

Very stiff atmosphere. Management doesn’t care about employees. The CEO is a monster. Well maybe monster is too strong but he’s not a cupcake

    Advice to Management

    Fire yourselves and start over

    Pros

There are some employees who are great to work with.

    Cons

It’s a horrible culture where everyone plays the blame game. There are few people who don’t have a clue on what the are doing but they have a management position. Like the other reviews stated 2/3 of the finance team have left and some of them left without a new position. It’s a very toxic culture. The management talks about promoting within which never happens. I am very surprised that the 1/3 person in the finance who is still working there. Employees are not valued for their loyalty and hard work. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

    Advice to Management

    No point, management doesn’t care.

I worked at Sensient Technologies (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Good medical insurance, nice office.

    Cons

Remarkably high turnover in finance, 2/3 of the finance team is no longer employed since January 2017. No team environment, weak, unsupportive management, no clear vision to improve processes. People have left without a new job to go to because they can't take the stress anymore.

    Advice to Management

Stop churning through employees. You will never be able to improve the culture or processes if the hiring/training process is always your focus.
