    Pros

    Management makes communication easy, the gratis and education are wonderful, plus there are endless opportunities to grow with the company. They truly do care about their clients and employees; it shows.

    Cons

    Hours can be grueling, whether you're scheduled strange shifts or not enough hours at all. It's retail - there's high performance stress regarding sales, client service, and loss prevention.

    Advice to Management

    Be consistent with policies!

    I worked at Sephora full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Sephora makes sure to give all employees the newest products with a program called "gratis." This allows employees to try everything and be able to speak to the products when selling on the floor.

    Sephora also has a fine-tuned company language and culture that allows for consistency per franchise. Customers are "clients" and help is always "assist."

    Cons

    In retail, there wasn't a lot of mentorship programs for employees who wanted to work their way up.

    Advice to Management

    Set up career progression planning and more sales incentives. Other cosmetics retailers offer commission. For some sales employees (most I would say) there was no incentive to up-sell and build baskets.

    Pros

    Great place to work. They have great a management team, great leadership team and there's always room to grow. If you want to work for company that helps you grow faster, this is the place for you. Always looking to promote their associates.

    Cons

    OT is great, but can be very overwhelming.

    Advice to Management

    Always looking to leadership for ways to build the relationship of their associates, why not spend time on the floor to get to know each one individually. There you can ask them for ideas to build that relationship verse taking what leadership says. Most of the time leadership is no where to be found. That's all I have to say and I'm part of that leadership.

    It's a family and management knows what they're doing. Great energy and work is always fun. Free gratis and constant training.

    You can definitively grow. There is a lot of work to be done. Lots of opportunities to take on interesting projects.

    Cons

    The growth can come very slowly in the form of promotions and recognition. Communication could be delivered more respectfully and self-awareness.
