    Pros

Great atmosphere with extremely competent and professional workers across the board. The work itself can be extremely emotional but the reward when seeing a positive impact is tremendous.

    Cons

Tremendous amount of travel but it's actually worth it when you're visiting programs across the country.

    Advice to Management

Share more stories of success at your programs with the youth and families we serve.

I have been working at Sequel Youth & Family full-time

    Pros

The hours are typically manageable. The clients are amazing people with wonderful stories. It is easy to make friendly with MOST of your coworkers. House managers are very understanding. Decent benefits.

    Cons

Extremely high turnover rate resulting in covering shifts which means long hours (~15) The ‘higher ups’ are usually extremely rude and condescending. The pay is absolutely despicable - I had to get a second job. Office politics are out of hand. Senior staff are the laziest people I hav ever met with no consequences for any of their actions.

    Advice to Management

When you have a position that requires 4+ years (or a degree) for experience, raise your pay to equal that.

    Pros

Highly family oriented with great benefits. They work with your schedule and work to be accommodating. It is an open and honest working environment that is not brought down by solicitation. Fun!!! The work environment is something new every day. Missing a day of work brings curiosity and excitement upon return. Management is open and listens to your career goals. Tuition reimbursement is awesome and the fact that they pay for additional state licensing is great. By the way, you automatically get your birthday off as a paid holiday! A lot of extra resources added within the job. It’s very cool how they operate with their employees.

    Cons

Pay rates across the board needs increased

    Pros

This review is for my recruiter Ms. Donna Howell. She was very patient with me and answered all my questions. She made me aware of all the benefits I'm going to get as a full time employee. She was very helpful all throughout. Kudos to her and all recruiters at Sequel.

    Cons

None that I can think of. Will be back to write more if there's any

    Advice to Management

It would be nice if benefits starts to kick in at Day 1 instead of at Day 60

    Pros

Teaching residents. Residents enjoy coming to the school unit because they enjoy the positive climate from the teachers and have some semblance of normalcy as being kids first.

    Cons

Lack of opportunities for advancement. No raise after positive yearly review. No firm communication as to when or how much raise will be.

    Advice to Management

Pay all employees a fair, livable wage. Show genuine appreciation with words and actions. Provide opportunities for advancement in all departments.

If you like working with at risk youth, you will enjoy that aspect of the position.

    Cons

Acute ignorance of basic professionalism and legalities involved with managing people. Nepotism. Corruption. Understaffed, as corporate is unwilling to spend the funds necessary for appropriate staffing. This company will lose contracts, as they cannot continue to function this way for long.
