    Great work culture, lacks diversity

    Pros

Sequoia has great work culture! Everyone is genuinely willing to help each other and work as a team.

    Cons

Leadership can be lacking. Sequoia prides themselves in being innovative but lacks ability to focus on the small details/planning of projects causing headaches and problems for all teams in the long term.

    Cons

    Pros

People first vision, great product, service, and team of very intelligent people. Everyone is willing to help each other grow and learn.

    Cons

The workload and hours is a lot. The expectation of client first puts the employees in a position where the work is never done.

Definitely a company I would recommend.

    Pros

Company holds a solid presence in the industry and has a trusted name. They employ top professionals from all areas of business. The team atmosphere is present even though we each operate mostly with our client & their groups. Company also provides flexibility and support to accomplish work and life goals. I already knew some people at the company before I started so if felt comfortable and similarly I've enjoyed interacting everyone new that I've met at the company as well.

    Cons

Opportunities for improvement could include building the resource network in certain areas. Continuing to add and improve the professional knowledge courses offered. Our auditing webinar this quarter really was entertaining and informative, keep it up.

Excellent Opportunities in a Family Atmosphere

    Pros

Sometimes, consulting can feel like a mercenary existence. Sequoia offers as much opportunity to develop and work on significant projects as one can hope for, but it also offers a network of support and camaraderie that is rare for consultants. Sequoia does a great job of finding projects for its employees. When a project at one client wraps up, you aren't left on your own; there is a whole team of people working to find another strong match for your skills. The company has grown quickly and has an established California presence with industry leaders in the life sciences.

    Cons

Sequoia has grown rapidly - as it matures, it would be nice to see some things like a match to the 401k and a more robust merit bonus/ annual review process.

    Great Company and Culture!

    Pros

Everyone I've worked with at Sequoia has been wonderful - smart and friendly but still very humble and down to earth. The CEO, Brandy, is awesome, and leadership goes out of its way to take care of employees - great pay, benefits package, work opportunities, work life balance, and frequent company events to bring the team together. Sequoia has a start-up feel despite the team growing, with management open to everyone's suggestions when it comes to things that can be improved. Also love that Sequoia gives back to the local community and works with multiple charities every year.

    Cons

401k match would be nice, but understand it's difficult at this stage.

    Really Great Place to Work

    Pros

I feel like Sequoia genuinely tries to care about the success and growth of employees. It's a pretty flat line company structure so you are able to take responsibility and have independence over your own work. The work has been pretty interesting and challenging so far. Previously coming from working with a manager who cared less about their employees, it's refreshing to feel supported and like you're a part of a team.

    Cons

No cons at this point but as a consultant, you're constantly at a client site so its really up to you to be as involved as you want to be. I can see where this type of role isn't necessarily for everyone out there.
