I have been working at Sequoia Hospital full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Nice staff, we do things together! You can call In sick when ever and never be called on it.

    Cons

Everything else! Never enough staff! NEVER! Management always cutting to the bone. Rare to get breaks. Doctors who work 60+ hours a they have short fuses. And to many docs with a God complex!

    Advice to Management

Hire people! One extra nurse on the unit is not going to cut into expenses to much, but would help with emergencies.

I have been working at Sequoia Hospital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

At Sequoia Hospital I worked with a great team of nurses always working together to provide great patient care to our customers.

    Cons

Working as a nurse it is often too busy to provide the optimal care that all patients deserve to provide environment that is optimal for healing

    Advice to Management

The benefits are excellent but they need more nursing help.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Sequoia Hospital full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

With any luck they will be taken over by Sutter.

    Cons

Leadership has been on a steep decline. New COO implements the most nonsensical projects I have ever experienced. They all fail. Morale is at an all time low, people are fleeing. Too much time spend on trying to NOT accommodate patients on COVERED CALIFORNIA,, rather than how to accommodate them in this new healthcare environment. If I hear BOUTIQUE HOSPITAL one more time I will lose my mind. It's a hospital for goodness sake!

    Advice to Management

Forget the whole "hellohumankindness" and get back to basics. Providing healthcare. Time to retool the Senior Leadership OPS Team.

    Cons

They helped begin a practice but did not offer enough support.

    Advice to Management

Look more carefully at the contribution physicians -it looks like they have aleady done this.
